Standard '02-'06

The standard version has a 1796cc Rover engine with 120bhp. Due to the small engine and the restricted power, this car is rather popular to combine low taxes with a lot of fun. 

Just after the launch of the elise S2 a "sports tourer" and a "Racetech" version where available. Both had the same engine with 120bhp, only some options changed.
